I NEED Referrals! You need money?

December 9th, 2006 by (Michy)

Okay, guys.. here’s a chance to help you help me and me help you make money.

Do you need some extra Christmas money? Do you write a blog? Why not put those two things together and make some extra money for Christmas by writing about things you know. Associated Content pays an average of about 6 dollars, via PayPal, usually within about a week of submitting an article to them. I’ve made over $600 dollars on this site, and I hang out there like it’s my second home.

If you want to make some extra cash for Christmas, sign up and publish an article… make a bit of money. My friend Ryan just got 8 bucks for his first article about linking on the internet. My last article made me 7, and it took me all of about 10 minute to write it. There is no limit to how many articles you can submit at one time – and there is no limit on how much money you can make. I have had as many as 35 articles pending with them at the same time.

You don’t have to be an expert writer… only someone who can string a thought into words… and they pay you for it… it’s a flat rate, not based on hits or ad revenue – they make you an offer of a dollar amount and you decide to accept it or not.

If you’re tight on Christmas money and can post 10 articles a day for a week, you could literarlly post 50 articles, and if they only paid you just $5 bucks per article (though they USUALLY pay more) you’d make 250 bucks before Christmas just from writing about things you know!

Plus, if you sign up and post just one article, I get credit in a contest for having referred you – and I’d like to try to win that contest too!

Help me you? Help you out? And make some money!!!!

Here’s the LINK to sign up…. please be sure to use this link so I can get credit for it and also so I can see your page and know to add you as a buddy.

There’s another contest for people with the most buddies too – so if you don’t want to sign up to make money, do me a favor and sign up as my buddy for me? Thanks a bunch!

Guilty Conscience?

December 8th, 2006 by (Michy)

I was doing an internet search on my name… not vanity, marketing. I regularly search my name in various forms to see how my articles and reprints are doing and be sure to connect with and thank those who pick up my reprints.

Today, while searching for “michelle devon” I ran across a description in Google that indicated that Michelle Devon had an outsanding warrant from 1995, Garland, Texas. Well, I LIVED in Garland, TX in 1995, (kinda a suburb of Dallas, for those who don’t know where it is). So my first reaction was, “Did I ever get a ticket or something else while I was there? What the heck is this?”

I clicked on the link and furiously was trying to find the information on what Michelle Devon had an outstanding warrant for…

…until it hit me, and when it did, I started laughing profusely – so hard I was actually crying.

Michelle Devon is my pen name… not my legal name, and I surely didn’t use that name back in 1995. THAT is how much a part of me my writing has become, I guess.

Fat People Destroying America?

December 5th, 2006 by (Michy)

Okay, a few days ago, someone on one of the sites where I freelance posted an article talking about how fat people are destroying America. I won’t post a link to her article here, because I really don’t want to give her anymore page views than she’s already received for what I believe to be hate speech, hostile at the best, and completely unfounded in fact.

She blames obesity and overweight people for everything from increasing health care costs for all Americans, she said fat people are to blame for why there’s problems with education, she states that fat people are a threat to national security, and even goes so far as to say that fat people will be the downfall of America and it’s ability compete in a global marketplace.
Site Meter
She continued to say that, basically, the root of all evil is fat people, and that pretty much all fat people are simply lazy gluttons who eat too much and are trying to make the rest of the world believe that fat is okay.

She used such fallacious comments as:

Fat people are destroying America.”

America is a country of fat, arrogant, and extremely lazy people. We are the fattest people in the world, in fact.”

Talk about having a national security problem.”

Local governments and public school systems are going bankrupt underneath the weight of health care costs;”

Once upon a time, obese children and adults were shunned by society, called gluttons, sent to “fat camps” and subjected to Richard Simmons videos until they, at long last, either lost the weight or died of their self-inflicted, obesity-related complications.”

Unfortunately, under the fair use laws of copyright regulations, I can’t give you anymore quotes, but these are some of the ones that prompted me to take the time to write a rebuttal argument to pick apart her commentary piece by piece.

I would love to hear your comments on this article I have written, and would appreciate the page views and the votes for this article. It’s long, but I think it’s worth the read. Also, I debuted this article at #3 on the mover’s and shakers list today, and would very much like to be on that list again tomorrow, hopefully even in a high placement on the list too! So I’m appealing to you guys, good or bad, like the article or not, please do me a favor and read it and let me know your views on it.

The article can be viewed HERE.

Also, I have the article up on Digg too, so any of you who Digg, can you do me the favor of digging me? I’d love to get as much exposure on this one as I can… plus, if I can get 10K in page views, I can win a cash prize on this one too! But mostly, I really just want to hear your views on the subject.

Enjoy! I’ll be back tomorrow with an interesting post, but for now, I’m still not feeling so great, so I’m heading to bed.

Nighty night all! And thank you in advance for your help!

Love and stuff,
Michy

How to have a successful blog.

December 2nd, 2006 by (Michy)

We all see posts that have links to automated sites that are supposed to increase your page views and friends and readers on your blog sites, but most of these don’t work, and you surely don’t get quality readers who are interested in what YOU have to say.

I wrote a series of articles – two have been published, and three more are pending publishing soon – about how to build a great and successful blog.

If you’re interested in getting more readers and having a successful Myspace blog, I’d like to suggest you read these articles for more information.

You can find them here:

PART ONE

PART TWO

Also, be sure to check back soon for parts three, four and five, which will go in depth with how to monetize your blog so you can make money on it…. how to get ad revenue on your site without offending your readers…. and much, much more.

Ya’ll have a good one!

Love and stuff,
Michy
